Aptamil Anti-Reflux Thickener (135g/4.76 oz)
Aptamil Anti-Reflux Thickener is suitable for the dietary treatment of increased spit-up and regurgitation. Aptamil Anti-Reflux Thickener can be mixed with breast milk, your usual formula or special nutrition*.
Please use only under medical supervision. After a few days, the symptoms should subside. If this is not the case, please contact your paediatrician again.
* Aptamil AR is not suitable for premature babies and low birth-weight infants (<1800 g). Please do not use Aptamil AR Thickener together with Aptamil AR Complete Nutrition or Aptamil Comfort.
Aptamil Anti-Reflux Thickener contains natural locust bean gum, which makes your baby's usual diet rich in suppleness, helping to keep it in their stomach and reducing reflux.
Aptamil Anti-Reflux can be used individually. You can add it directly to the pumped breastmilk, the usual baby formula or special nutrition or feed it to your baby as a paste before breastfeeding.
Feeding in bottle with breast milk: Pump breast milk and use immediately so that it is still lukewarm. Add the thickener according to the dosage table. Shake the bottle for 30-60 seconds, then let it stand for 7 minutes to thicken. After shaking again, please feed immediately.
Feeding in bottles with formula, HA food or special nutrition: Prepare your usual baby formula according to the manufacturer's instructions. Add the thickener according to the dosage table. Shake the bottle for 30-60 seconds, then let it stand for 7 minutes to thicken. Shake the bottle vigorously again. Then check the contents of the bottle for drinking temperature (about 37°) and feed immediately.
Feeding with a spoon: This method can be used on breastfed babies or on babies who are already eating complementary foods. Add the thickener according to the dosage table. Stir the components and let the paste stand for 3 minutes to thicken. Stir again and then feed with a spoon before or during the meal.
